✦The Spark Wilds
Public Sparks
Little idea gremlins that other creators decided to share. Play them, fork them, learn from them.
Nice Gets You Further
This Spark tests a deceptively simple moral feedback loop: the maze reshuffles every 5 moves regardless of what you do, but *how* it reshuffles depends on who you're choosing to be. Kindness choices (helping phantom NPCs, avoiding traps, not stealing shortcuts) bias the algorithm toward open corridors and shorter paths. Cruelty choices spike the chaos — mines scatter, walls close, the exit migrates. The mechanic under examination isn't pathfinding or spatial reasoning — it's whether players internalize a behavioral identity mid-session when the game makes the consequences immediate, legible, and slightly humiliating. The dread comes not from the maze but from the mirror.
Hold Still or Die
This Spark tests a stealth-inversion mechanic where movement is the threat, not the solution. Instead of hiding in shadows or behind cover, the player becomes invisible by doing nothing — a tense, counterintuitive loop where every step is a gamble and freezing under pressure is the core skill. The .5-second re-cloaking delay is the entire game: it punishes panic-movement and rewards deliberate, minimal repositioning. Enemies that pursue on sight and lose interest when the player vanishes create a cat-and-mouse rhythm built entirely from a single rule. The question this tests is whether 'stillness as power' creates genuine dread or just frustrating paralysis.
